NAME: Japanese Traditional Yajiro kokeshi

MAKER: Yusuke Sato

SIZE: 8-7/8" (22.5cm)

CONDITION: New. However, there is a small dent near the base of the doll, front right and a small round flat dent on the lower back of the head. This batch of dolls survive the great earthquake and I'm guessing that some of the light damage occurred at that time.

NOTES: Created and signed by 3rd generation craftsman, Yusuke Sato of Kijidokoro-Sato. Mr. Sato is the latest artist to join the family business. He is the son of Seiko and Mikiko and brother of Hideyuki. He was born in 1982.

Please keep in mind that this shipment was received when the dollar was near an all time low exchange rate with the yen and makes them much pricier than usual. They are only marked up a modest percentage over the Sato catalog price.
