NAME: Vintage to antique Japanese thread spool (Itomaki)

SIZE: 7-5/8" x 4-1/2"

CONDITION: Old and well used. They may have scratches, dents, chips in the wood, stains, etc. Age and use related flaws.

NOTES: You can find good information on itomaki at this site: Tokyojinja. Look about 1/3 down the page.

Note that these have 3 crossbars instead of the regular two. I would assume they are stronger.
