NAME: Wajima lacquerware Japanese vase with cranes in gift box

SIZE: 10-1/4" (26cm), diameter 2-7/8" (7.5cm), a copper insert is attached that measures 5-1/2" deep. Each stand measure 9-3/8" (24cm) x 2-3/16" (5.5cm)

CONDITION: Unused, mint condition

A lot of lacquerware in Japan today is being made from a synthetic resin. Because of their advanced technology in this area, it is very difficult to tell the difference. It doesn't matter as much as the finish the item has, use-wise (the synthetics are more durable) or cost-wise.

I believe the base on this vase is a synthetic resin material as well as the 2 stand boards.
