NAME: Vintage Japanese plastic "lacquerware" trinket box, lot of 2 different sizes, NEW OLD STOCK

SIZE: 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" (9.7 x 12.2cm) and 3-1/4" x 4-1/8" (8.3 x 10.7cm)

CONDITION: Although these are unused, they have been in storage for many year. They have light scratches.

NOTES: Because wooden lacquerware became very expensive to produce over the years, Japanese had come up with resins (like melamine) as a replacement. Sometimes they are made so well that you have to check very closely to tell the difference.

These are heavy duty boxes with full lids and fancy side cutouts for opening. Combined weight is almost a pound. Safer to store food in, also.
