Vintage Kobouzu Costume Doll, MIB

NAME: Vintage costume doll of a Kobouzu or apprentice monk with broom and sake bottle, MIB

MAKER: Unknown

SIZE: 5-3/4" (14.5cm)

CONDITION: Mint in original gift box. When dolls left the maker, the faces were often protected with a strip of paper. The paper is still intact. The box shows it's age with yellowing and rusted staples.

NOTES: The face, hands and feet have the gofun finish. The young trainee is doing one of his chores of sweeping. There was a gourd shaped sake bottle in the box (not pictured). Not positive it belongs with the doll but will be sent anyway.
