Vintage Creative Kokeshi Sandal Pair

NAME: Vintage creative Japanese kokeshi pair on a Waraji (woven straw sandal) with hats, MIB

MAKER: Tourist spot may be painted on large sign post or stamped on small post behind the waraji.

SIZE: Overall height is 4-15/16" (12.5cm), length is 4-1/8" (10.5cm)

CONDITION: This collection is basically mint in box. There may be some age related issues and will be so noted. Most of the boxes show their age and may be warped, torn or have split corners.

There is a decayed leaf in the picture, which was added by the original owner. It is not original.

NOTES: The pine needle clumps are as green as the day they were made. Amazing. These are usually the first thing to discolor (brown) or fall apart.

The owner of these fabulous vintage kokeshi had purchased them from all over Japan and then stored them in their original gift boxes for all these years (50's/60's). Great find with some unusual dolls!
