NAME: こけしざんまい: Kokeshi (?)* (traditional kokeshi only)

AUTHOR: Bunsaku Tachibana

DETAILS: Published May, 1984, Size is approx 5-1/2" x 8-3/4", contains 385 numbered pages.

CONDITION: The outer cardboard case shows a little wear on the bottom and some discoloring from age.

The book itself was covered by the previous owner and is in good condition. (Did not remove the waxed paper cover for the picture).

NOTES: *Haven't been able to get a good translation of the name of the book. Will add when I can.

Mr. Tachibana has authored quite a few books on kokeshi starting in the 50's, including the kokeshi pattern book that is available on this site.

Don't have any information on this book. It looks like a serious book on traditional kokeshi. There appears to be sections on artists. There are some black & white pictures -- not an overwhelming amount -- maybe a small picture per 4 pages.
