Ouchi Lacquerware Doll Pair, Large, 2-1/4"

NAME: Japanese lacquered wood Emperor and Empress Ouchi Doll set

SIZE: The emperor is 2-1/4" tall, the empress 2-1/8". The diameter is approximately 2-1/4".

CONDITION: Few light dings and scratches. The paint is irregular around the edge of the fan. It's not chipped. It looks like the gold overlapped onto the red.

I was able to find a website in Japan selling brand new Ouchi doll pairs. The current cost of a set with a 1-3/4" (4.5cm) diameter is 5100yen or US$61.45. A set with a 3-1/4" diameter (8.4cm) is 19,600y or US$236.14.
