Quantity Available: 1
Inventory Number: 72367
NAME: Nanbu* Traditional Japanese kokeshi nodder, Peko*
MAKER: Tsuruji Matsumoto*
SIZE: 9-1/4" (23.7cm)
CONDITION: Couple of small water spots on the right side of the doll. Consumer writing on one side of doll (not necessarily considered the back). Quite a few wood age spots.
Towards the bottom of the doll is a large area without red paint. It could be water damage, however, it's very symmetrical, there are no water stains and there would be a lot of red paint blurring or running. This leads me to believe it was artistically done this way.
NOTES: Rare doll. Peko is the beloved mascot for the Fujiya (confectionery) Company. Consumer dated October 16, 1983.
*Many years ago, a reliable seller identified this doll and artist as such but have been unable to confirm it.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Shipping on this doll will cost up to US$17 or US$9 over the automatic charge of $8.00 for U.S. addresses. Please contact us with intent to buy so that it can be packed, weighed and the extra shipping charges added to the doll BEFORE the purchase is made.
