NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi, original box

CONDITION: This dolls appears to have been in long term storage and never used. It has darkened nicely with age. There is quite a bit of even darker spotting, which is the next stage in the oxidation process. The face has quite a bit of darker areas also, but was probably caused by a reaction from the acid in the box. As far as I can see, there are no scratches or dents.
NOTES: The doll is unique in that the head is purposely not attached. You can angle it any way to get a variety of different looks.
For a perspective on price, the same doll, newer and about 2/3's the size, sold elsewhere for over $90 (plus shipping) more than this.
Mr. Watanabe was born in 1917 and passed in 2007. Winner of many awards including top prize, the Prime Minister Award several times.
