NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi w signature board

MAKER: Usaburo Okamoto

SIZE: 8-3/8" (21.2cm), diameter at the widest point is 6" (15.1cm), doll weight 3 lbs 14.2 oz.

CONDITION: Long (4"), deeper scratch on the right back side and small scratch on left back has 1/8" of chipped paint. A few of the berries on her obi also have chipped paint. There are a few other minor dents and/or scratches.

NOTES: Name of the dolls translated is "Longevity". Design was done by carving and the burnt wood technique. Her hair strands are carved all around her head.

Usaburo is the family business name. This was made by Usaburo Okamoto. He was the master and patriarch until he passed in 2009 at the age of 91.
