NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi, lot of 2 dolls

MAKER: Usaburo Okamoto

SIZE: 7-1/4" (18.5cm) (dark doll is a fraction shorter), weight combined 1 lb

CONDITION: Natural dolls has a few small dents including one mid front and a little deeper one on the right side of the head. The dark doll has a few small dents mostly on her right side and a couple on the edge of her bangs.

NOTES: Usaburo is the family business name. This pair was made by Usaburo Okamoto. He was the master and patriarch until he passed in 2009 at the age of 91.

The natural doll's design is done by the burnt wood technique. The darker doll's design is carved.
