CONDITION: Few minor to small dents including two under her left cheek.
She has quite a few vertical lines of varying lengths, heaviest on her right hair and upper front. You can see a few of them on the red section of the close up of her face. It appears to be a wood flaw - a problem with the grain. The wood/grain was either rising, slightly separating or pushing together in some areas. It's most noticeable where it there is solid paint. She has a lot of design and color on the front so it's less apparent. I've not seen this before so I don't know if it'll get worse. I'm guessing she was stored or displayed in the hot, dry area. They don't look or feel like cracks - more like slightly raised lines.
NOTES: Mr. Sekiguchi was born in 1947 and is a multi award winning artist.
