NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi

CONDITION: Very good with a very minor scrape on the lower back. Along the bottom edge is a large dent and a little paint chipping.

NOTES: The name of the doll translates to Zuishou meaning good omen, good fortune, blessedness, etc.

Beautiful doll with fan design. Heavily carved and painted in goldtones, each of the fans depict a different symbol for good fortune (bamboo, pine, etc.) Mr. Sekiguchi was born in 1947 and is a multi award winning artist. (He is NOT related to Sansaku).
