NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi, original box, signature board
MAKER: Kazuo Takamizawa
SIZE: 9-1/8" (23.2cm)
CONDITION: Few dents on the right side of the hair. Some areas along the edge of the hair have some slight irregularities (manufacture flaw).
NOTES: Most of the design is done by the burnt wood technique but the flowers are carved.
Mr. Takamizawa was born in 1927 and is a multi-award winning artist including the Prime Minister Award.
