NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi

SIZE: 4-3/4" (12cm)
CONDITION: Looks new. There are a couple of small dings (one under right eye) and a larger dent on the back (may be a manufacture or wood flaw).
NOTES: In original box and includes signature board.
Name of the doll is Princess Kaguya. She is the main character from a fairytale called "Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", also known as "Tale of Princess Kaguya".
Mr. Sekiguchi was born in 1925 and is still busy creating his masterpieces. He is a multi-award winning artist which includes multiple prime minister awards. He is perhaps the most known kokeshi maker worldwide.
