NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi

CONDITION: Flat type of dent on the lower back side and several deep dents along the bottom edge in back. Few areas with darker wood (age) spots. Excess glue at the waist.
NOTES: Mr. Sekiguchi was born in 1925 and is still busy creating his masterpieces. He is a multi-award winning artist which includes multiple prime minister awards. He is perhaps the most known kokeshi maker worldwide.
The doll's name is "Rain" and is currently in production. The current doll is a little different with a top knot instead of a bun. The price for a 14.5" (37cm) is around US$180.00
