NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi

MAKER: Sadao Kishi

SIZE: 11" (28cm), weight 1 lb-11 oz

CONDITION: May be a few dents or scratches but nothing significant.

NOTES: Mr. Kishi was born in 1932 and has passed. He was a multi award winning artist. He won top prize, Prime Minister Award at least a couple of times.

On the bottom is written "S 58" which would date this doll to 1983. It also has what looks like 8/245 or 8/24.5. This would mean it's #8 of a limited edition of 245(?) dolls. The kimono outline is done by the burnt wood technique.
