NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi with stand

MAKER: Kunio Miyagawa

SIZE: 6-3/8" (16cm). Diameter at the largest point is 4-5/8" (12cm). Stand 1-5/8" high, 5" round

CONDITION: Few very light scratches on lower right side of hair and one on the back. Stand has some wear on the edge in a few spots.

NOTES: Kunio Miyagawa was born in 1933. He started creating kokeshi around 1948. Multi prize winner in kokeshi competitions including the coveted Prime Minister Award.

The design is done burnt wood style as well as carving.

The bottom of the doll as well as the stand has his sticker.
