Miharu Goma, Vintage Japanese Wooden Horse Pair

Small pair of vintage (50's) Japanese wooden Miharu Goma or horse.
It is one of three popular folk toy horses in Japan but is lesser known outside of Japan with the most familar being the Yawata or Hachinoe horse. The Miharu owes it's beginnings to a wooden horse that saved a military leader during a tough battle in ancient times. It's also known as the child caretaking wooden horse.
They measure 2-1/4" high and 1-5/8" long, not including the mane or tail. They are mint in original box.
