NAME: Japanese costume doll of poet Matsuo Basho

NOTES: Basho (1644-1694) was a famous poet (Master Haiku Poet). He traveled much so he is often depicted traveling as this doll, with hat in hand and backpack.

The hands and feet are plastic, the body is bundled straw and the head has the gofun finish.
