Lacquered Wood Japanese Letter Box

NAME: Japanese lacquered wood letter box with wood presentation box

SIZE: 13" (33cm) x 10" (25.2cm) x 2-5/8" (6.7cm) deep

CONDITION: Unused, as new, however, there are a couple of very light scratches on the lid.

Also, in an inside corner, a little lacquer is missing. I can't imagine a spot being missed when made, however, the spot is very smooth. My experience, at least with the older lacquered items, when chipped or cracked, you can feel the edges. This box is about 20 years old and has been stored, the last 10 years by me. Not able to explain the flaw.
