NAME: Keshi Ningyo of the 47 Ronin, also known as Chushingura
SIZE: The dolls are around 1/2" tall (some variations).
The box measures 13-5/8" long x 1-7/8" tall x 1-3/4" deep.
CONDITION: Mid aged set, 29 figures, the Ryogoku Bridge and a tree. COMPLETE and in excellent condition.
This is a variation from the one with the 47 Ronin figures. Very finely painted figures with more detail than usual. Each of the retainers have not only a bit of hair but they wear head bands with ties down their backs. The figures also have painted hands.
NOTES: The 47 Ronin is a story about loyalty. Ronin means masterless samurai. Although it is a true story, so many plays and tales have been written that it is hard to sort fact from fiction. This is a brief version: 47ronin story.
