NAME: Keshi Ningyo of the 47 Ronin, also known as Chushingura
SIZE: The dolls are around 1/2" tall (some variations).
The box measures 13-3/4" long x 2" tall x 1-13/16" deep.
CONDITION: Older set, 48 figures, the Ryogoku Bridge and sign post. Complete and good condition. (One figure was originally missing but has been replaced with same age set piece).
The box lid had a piece broken off and was repaired with the same type of wood (kiri).
NOTES: The 47 Ronin is a story about loyalty. Ronin means masterless samurai. Although it is a true story, so many plays and tales have been written that it is hard to sort fact from fiction. This is a brief version: 47ronin story.
