NAME: Japanese ema or prayer board with a folk craft nodding tiger on wheels, representing the "Year of the Tiger".

SIZE: Height 3-15/16" (10.cm) to the top point, 5-7/8" (15cm) at the longest point

CONDITION: Several minor dents and scratches.

NOTES: An ema board or prayer board is a method by which people make wishes, prayers or thanks to the dieties by writing it down on the board and hanging it at a shrine. The art work traditionally depicts the Zodiac animals, historic stories, folklore characters and stories, etc., but modern characters are also included now.
