Kokeshi dancing the Hyottoko dance. Hyottoko has a contorted face, pursed lips skewed to one side as he is set to blow through a bamboo tube to kindle a fire with a fierce look. His name translated means "fire man". In the back, the bottom hems of the jackets are caught up in the belts. The dance is said to be commical and humorous. The height of the upright doll is 4-1/4", the stand is 5-5/8" x 2". In good condition.
