NAME: Creative Japanese kokeshi of Junshin, a monk, with a kanzashi (hairpin) for Ouma. Sometimes referred to as "The Hairpin Monk".

MAKER: Unknown

SIZE: doll is 5" (13cm)

CONDITION: The cloth/paper on his head and the crepe material at the neck has some soiling or discoloring from age.

NOTES: This is another tragic love story. Junshin buys a kanzashi and gives it to Ouma at Harimayabashi. (The Harimaya Bridge is the well known orange walking bridge in Kochi). Eventually he is exiled never to see Ouma again.
