NAME: Japanese creative kokeshi

SIZE: 11-5/8" (29.5cm)

CONDITION: A few light dents and scratches, wood age (dark) spots. The black hair paint is crazing and bits have chipped or worn off. There are a few hairline cracks, barely visible, extending out from the middle of the head which is the middle of the wood. It is the wood's natural tendency to crack from the center out. Under normal living conditions, this should not worsen. I think these dolls were ill stored for a while.

NOTES: This is 1 of 10 dolls that I believe to be part of a series made by female artists. The dolls are signed by their given names only and there are 4 different artist.
