NAME: Set of three creative Japanese kissing kokeshi nodders, stand, explanation sheet, original gift box

CONDITION: New old stock, however, long term storage may have caused flaws. These may include wood age spots (darkening) and paint chipping. These were wrapped in a tissue that is now discolored and falling apart. The acid in the paper would have also contributed to aging issues. The boxes may have split corners and show their age.
These were mass produced and they are not made "perfect". There may be paint/varnish runs, bare spots, wood defects, etc.
NOTES: This set includes one female and two males. Magnets are inserted into the heads, behind their flat faces, thus allowing the dolls to kiss or repel.
These are the last of this style doll available. These were purchased in the U.S. market many, many moons ago. I think they were mostly exported and are seldom seen in the Japanese market. Some 7+ years ago when creative kokeshi were the hot commodity these sets used to sell upwards of $65 to $75.00.
