Yamagata Traditional Japanese Kokeshi, 10"

Traditional Japanese wooden kokeshi belonging to the Yamagata family, stands 10" tall.

Few minor dents and/or scratches. There are wood aging spots (darkening) on the top 1/3 of the head, including the forehead. The wood is also darkening in horizontal lines the length of the doll. It's most noticeable on the backside where it is not painted. Dark vertical lines on the head are the wood's natural coloring.
