NAME: Yajiro traditional Japanese pull toy of a baby on a wagon
MAKER: Tsuta family, Yajiro kokeshi & toy craftsmen
SIZE: 7" (18cm) high, 6-3/4" (17cm) long
CONDITION: Appears to be unused. There is a small water spot on one of the back wheels.
NOTES: Just as kokeshi craftsmen, this trade is handed down from generation to generation. The Tsuta family consists of the father Sakuzou (d1957 @ 66), son/brother Mamoru (d2009 @ 81) and Fumio, who is currently in production.
As the toy is pulled, the head moves back and forth and the arms move up and down.
