NAME: Yajiro traditional Japanese kokeshi

MAKER: Fukuo Niiyama

SIZE: 11-7/8"

CONDITION: Four small dents on or about the face. The back of the head has one larger, vertical dent and a spot with multiple dings. The body has a few minor to small dents.

NOTES: Dated 12/29/1969 by the original owner.

Mr. Niiyama passed in 1987 at the age of 65.

Prices on these dolls were set by researchers who price kokeshi in the Japanese market based on maker, size, design, etc. The Bunichi Kamata and Fukuo Niiyama dolls were the highest of the Yajiro.
