Winter Japanese Wooden Kokeshi, 2 Pairs

Vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi relating to winter.

The first pair has two young girls in winter wrap, covered with snow. They measure 3-1/8". Little speckles are all over the dolls which represents the snow. They are in good condition with a few small areas of too little paint or missed areas (bald).

The second pair is probably considered more of a folkcraft doll than kokeshi. They come from Akita. They are made of cryptomeria wood and are bundled up, ready for the cold winter. They are in good condition. At the highest point, they measure 3" and just under 3-1/2".

These sets are a part of a family collection of folk crafts from the 50's and 60's. The father traveled to all parts of Japan on business and would bring home souvenirs for the family.
