NAME: Vintage Japanese costume doll of a young girl dancing at a festival with a fan, original glass case & cardboard box

AGE: c1960

SIZE: Doll is 10-7/8" (27.5cm) tall including her hat. The case measures 12-1/4" x 8-1/2" x 7-1/4" (31cm x 21.5cm x 18.5cm)

CONDITION: She's has her original band protecting the face so the head looks in mint condition. There is a hairline crack by her left thumb but it's hidden behind the fan. The mirror looks quite aged with spots and marks all over as is common with old mirrors. There is also a small chip in the mirror at the very top. The top glass piece of the case was broken during transit. The cases are usually made of a thinner glass than is readily available here. Because it's the top, it may be less of an issue.

NOTES: The kimono is lovely, black with small floral print. It's unusual to see a young girl wear a dark color. Gofun finish. Mother of pearl decoration at the bottom of the case in the front.

The fan can be found wrapped in red tissue inside the case.
