Vintage Creative Kokeshi Autumn Pair

NAME: Vintage creative Japanese kokeshi pair with Autumn leaves, MIB

MAKER: Stamped on left side of larger doll

SIZE: 4-3/8" (11.3cm) & 3" (7-1/2cm)

CONDITION: This collection is basically mint in box. There may be some age related issues and will be so noted. Most of the boxes show their age and may be warped, torn or have split corners.

The middle vein of yellow paint on the top of the taller doll is partially broken off.

NOTES: Most unusual and odd pair. The leaf outlines are done in very thick paint in Autumn colors. Shape may be trying to convey acorns?

The owner of these fabulous vintage kokeshi had purchased them from all over Japan and then stored them in their original gift boxes for all these years (50's/60's). Great find with some unusual dolls!
