NAME: Togatta traditional Japanese kokeshi produced as a commemorative piece for the book, "The World of Kokeshi" by Yasuo Hisamatsu and Akio Ueki.
MAKER: Eihiro Sato
SIZE: The doll measures 2-1/2". The tub has a 4" diameter.
CONDITION: Age spots on the doll's body and inside the tub.
NOTES: The legs and arms move. The bottom of the doll has a top-like tip but it is not a top. The tub has a convex piece in the center that allows the doll to rock or swing back and forth.
A stamp on the bottom with a date reads March 26, 1983.
Rare and quite unusual.
