Tanuki with Taiko (Drum) Japanese Folk Craft

Vintage Japanese wooden folk craft of three Tanuki or raccoon dogs with a taiko or drum in original box. A Tanuki is capable of changing shapes in Japanese folklore. Often seen with a sake bottle, it is the mascot for many temples and restaurants as this critter represents fertility and plenty.

The size is 2-3/8" tall and 2-3/4" long. It is in mint condition.
