Shogi Creative Kokeshi, Very Large

NAME: Four Japanese creative kokeshi with bodies shaped like Shogi (Japanese chess) pieces, carrying a large game piece, standing on a Shogi board

SIZE: 10" tall, 7-1/2" long, 4-1/8" deep, weight is over 1-1/2 lbs.

CONDITION: The heads are made of dogwood and there are some age spots as is often seen on older dogwood pieces. The white part of the cords are a little discolored. A few light scratches in the finish on the front side of the board.

NOTES: Substantial piece. The 9volt battery in picture 3 may help illustrate how large it is. A lovely wood is used for most of the pieces. Two metal decorations adorn the ends of the carrying poles on the front and the shapely legs/feet of the Shogi board were lathed.
