Sakunami Traditional Kokeshi, 7-1/2"

Sakunami style vintage kokeshi measuring 7-1/2" tall with a head diameter of 2-1/4" and a base diameter of 1-1/4". It was thought that the origin of Yamagata and Sukanami kokeshi was the same, but my friends at Kijidokoro Sato have told me that researchers have now come to believe that the origin is different. Although these dolls were originally combined as one family here, I do believe this is a Sakunami doll. This doll has one small water spot on right side of head. Signed on the bottom.
