Ouchi Lacquerware Japanese Wood Letter Box

NAME: Ouchi Japanese lacquerware wood letter box (fumibako) with original wood storage or presentation box
SIZE: 11" (26cm) x 8-3/8" (24.3cm) x 2-3/4 (7cm) deep.
CONDITION: Very good condition. It is unused, however, there is a hairline crack in the upper left (in the picture) corner. The wood has probably separated a little underneath. Wood pieces are combined to create the box. It is then lacquered. Age and dry conditions can cause the wood to separate.
