NAME: Ouchi lacquerware Japanese vase in the shape of an old time bucket

SIZE: 11" (27.8cm) total height, the vase itself is 7" (17.8cm), the top of the vase is about 3-1/2" (9cm) across and the insert is 4-1/8" (10.5cm) deep.

CONDITION: Unused, mint condition

A lot of lacquerware in Japan today is being made from a synthetic resin. Because of their advanced technology in this area, it is very difficult to tell the difference. I don't believe it matters as much as the finish the item has, use-wise (the synthetics are more durable) or cost-wise.

The base, the insert and stand boards are made of synthetic material, some type of plastic.
