Narugo Nemariko (seated) style kokeshi by craftsman Yoshinobu Kakizawa, date of birth, Aug. 15, 1974. This kokeshi is of a seated boy, wearing a samurai helmet, which is removable and would be a Boy's Day celebration doll (traditionally May 5th). He measures 3-1/8" tall with a diameter at the largest point of 1-1/2". Mr. Kakizawa, knowing this doll was coming to the U.S., not only signed the doll, but printed his name in English! (He doesn't speak English). This kokeshi is NEW/mint.
