Most unusual Japanese folk craft of 2 monkeys and a gourd in original box. It's made out of bamboo including the stand. The large monkey is cut out of the gourd and pushed forward for a 3d effect. Both monkeys are partially carved to expose the lighter wood. They both have a googly eye.
It is about 6-1/4" tall and is in good condition except the lower part of the sparklies on the tree have come off. The box is bent and has several corners split.
