CONDITION: Cluster of small dents on the lower back hair, small wood age spot on the chin.

NOTES: Usaburo is the family business name. This was made by Usaburo Okamoto, who was the master and patriarch until he passed in 2009 at the age of 91.

The name of the doll is Kantsubaki (寒椿) or literally translated means "cold camellia" (Winter camellia?). Signature board is included. The head is made from dogwood. The body is a beautiful, grainy wood. The design was done by the burnt wood technique.
