NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi

MAKER: Kazuo Takamizawa

SIZE: 10-1/2" (25.7cm)

CONDITION: Small spots of missing paint on the upper front (yellow design) and along the right sleeve edge. The paint/varnish on the bun has faded and chipped.

NOTES: Mr. Takamizawa was born in 1927. He is a multi-award winning artist including the Prime Minister Award.

The design on the bun is done by burnt wood. The kimono and obi are painted.
