NAME: Modern creative Japanese kokeshi

MAKER: Toa Sekiguchi

SIZE: 4-1/8" (10.6cm), diameter 4-1/4" (10.6cm)

CONDITION: Few small dents and a short deep dent on the left side near the top. Flat dent on lower back is probably a wood flaw (under the paint). Several scratches on the front which has removed the paint. Pink glitter paint has worn off in some spots.

NOTES: Mr. Sekiguchi was born in 1942 and is a multi award winning artist.

The kimono outline, hair and eyes are done in burnt wood style. The kimono design has some glitter-like paint. Consumer dated 11/1988.
