NOTES: Simple but beautiful. The grain of the wood serves as the design.
Mr. Murikami was born in Yonezawa City in 1929. He originally studied oil painting and changed to kokeshi around 1946. He is a multi prize winning artist including the coveted Prime Minister Award.
