Miniature Japanese House/Living Room

Miniature of an old time Japanese house/living quarters. Made of wood, it includes a slatted floor, a sunken hearth called an irori, the decorative fish that hangs from the pole (which would also hold a pot for cooking), a box of coal and a tansu with working drawers and sliding doors. It comes in the original box. It measures approximately 8-1/4" x 6" deep x 6-1/4" high. It's new but not sure if it's brand new or new old stock. This was obtained directly from a Japanese company in Japan and was surprised to find "made in China" on the box. Nevertheless, it's cute, accurate and well made. There is even a pack of charcoal underneath to keep the item fresh and dry. Simple and lovely. (Please also see the retro 1960's Japanese house/living room from the same series).
