Shi Shi Lion Japanese Wooden Folk Crafts, Two (2)

Two vintage Japanese wooden folk crafts of the Shi Shi or Lion Dog. Both are in good condition.

The first is of a person dressed in a Shi Shi costume playing a drum. It is 3-1/2" tall, not including the feathers on top.

The second is a Shi Shi figure attached to a black stand. The body is wood, covered with a red cloth. The height is 4-3/4" and is 3-1/4" wide.

These are part of a family collection of folk crafts from the 50's and 60's. The father traveled to all parts of Japan on business and would bring home souvenirs for the family.
