Kiyomizu Porcelain Baby Kokeshi Pair

Vintage Japanese Kiyomizu porcelain baby or toddler kokeshi pair measuring approximately 2-3/8" tall. Wearing only their little bibs, these are mint (new old stock) in original box.

Kiyomizu-ware (Kiyomizu-yaki) is a term for porcelain made in Kyoto. Dating back hundreds of years, it's always hand painted.

Probably from the 1950's, there are several different styles listed. They may have dust or dirt but they wipe clean. Most are still wrapped in their original paper, however, the paper is yellowed and fragile with age. All are in their original gift box but the boxes may be soiled or have corners split.
